The new Prestige IAQ thermostat, introduced at the International Builders’ Show, is designed to make homes more comfortable and stylish, while helping homeowners lower their energy bills. The new smart thermostat, 60 percent smaller than previous models, controls temperature, humidity, ventilation and fan settings from any web-enabled device anywhere in the world, and can help homeowners cut annual heating and cooling costs by up to 33 percent.
The thermostat can connect to the Internet through Honeywell’s free Total Connect Comfort cloud-based application, available in the iTunes store or from Google Play. The app’s uptime is a virtually perfect 99.999 percent, significantly more dependable than other brands’ thermostat apps.
“Smaller and sleeker is better when it comes to consumer electronics, and now the same can be said for Honeywell thermostats: we’re packing more features into a lighter, thinner body to help them complement home décor, while managing roughly half of a home’s energy consumption – and half of a homeowner’s energy dollars – more effectively than any other thermostat on the market,” said Beth Wozniak, president of Honeywell Environmental and Combustion Controls.
The Prestige IAQ is available in three frame colors – white, black and silver – and its crisp 4.3” high definition touch screen display features a customizable color-matching palette to match or complement any home’s décor.
